Tropical Storm Idalia was forecast Monday to intensify into a major hurricane by this morning.

During a meeting Monday afternoon with key stakeholders, Andy Leanza, Glynn County Emergency Management director, said Idalia is expected to impact the Golden Isles for about 14 hours with potential Category 1 winds of 75 mph.
